Non-traditional things are okay. Doing things out of order is okay. Certain life events happen that throw things off a big and that’s okay!

Our very own Lead Coordinator Kandis and her sweet guy Darien asked for our assistance for their special elopement.

Kandis and Darien eloped in downtown Norfolk at waterside. It was chilly day filled with lots of emotions. Kandis started her day off as many brides do, drinking mimosas and getting glammed up. She still had the butterflies just as any other bride would.

Darien isn’t a very emotional guy, but when he turned around and saw his bride for the first time, time stood still. He took every inch of her in and the both of them never stopped smiling.

It took a lot of planning and some rearranging because the day they originally chose got rained out. Kandis had to change to a hair salon she had never gone to, but it all came together and turned out perfectly.

This cute couple has two adorable kiddos and they do plan to eventually throw a reception party for all their family and friends to celebrate their union.

We love celebrating our couples, but celebrating close friends tugs at the heart a little harder <3
