Mary, Owner of TSE met this bride when she was only a few days old. They brought Mary home from the hospital and introduced her to her big sis, Nicole. Would you say no to the one who has been the best keeper of secrets, the one who grounds you and the one whose quiet demeanor speaks volumes? We sure didn’t!
Because of their lifelong bond, the TSE team considered this wedding to be one of our sweetest blessings. No one likes to disappoint but when our bride is as sweet and easy going as Nicole Shipp we were going to move heaven and earth to make this night as special as she is.
Nicole chose one of our favorite venues, the Pungo equestrian barn known as Culpepper Barn but before we would arrive the bridal party had a wonderful morning together.
The big day started off with mimosas and breakfast from Panera. Food and drink filled the room but laughter and shared memories filled the air.
Nicole wore a form fitting lace gown with a halter neckline and tear drop front. The dress style fit her slim form beautifully making us realize that even a gifted athlete can transform into a beautiful princess.
The first look between Nicole and her dad revealed their strong bond. Mr. Shipp is a big teddy bear when it comes to his girls. Later, at the reception he would be wearing dark sun shades, not because it was sunny inside the venue but because he wasn’t able to get through his
speech without some of his love leaking out of his eyes and sliding down his face.
Our bride and groom locked eyes and spoke their tender vows. They brought the service to a close by including a sand ceremony. Each took an individual jar of sand and together they poured their sand into one jar symbolizing their union as one.
After the ceremony the guests attended cocktail hour which included an open bar, fantastic food and families coming together to begin new memories as one, much bigger family.
Once the doors to the banquet room were opened, we left the cocktail hour and walked into the transformed venue. White tablecloths, vases of fresh peaches, and tall candles created a clean, original look. The floral arrangements were gorgeous and blended the perfect shade of peach with a blush color and adorned all the right places throughout.
Dinner was served by Pungo Catering and based on the people returning over and over to the buffet we could tell it it was delicious! The bride and groom’s cake was the very trendy kind where the icing is applied and you can still see the yellow cake. Around the cake were a variety of cupcakes all different flavors and colors. The guests helped themselves to several as they tried the different options.
From the weather to the food, flowers, cake and all of the guests, it was an absolutely beautiful memory made by all.
Planning a wedding for someone who means so much also gives us a great sense of satisfaction. As we make the drive home at the end of the wedding day we reflect on all the beauty, traditions, and really special details that not only leave our guests with memories but us too.
Thanks Nicole & Ben for allowing us to be apart of your big day<3 It is a super special day we will remember forever.
Xoxo,
TSE Team
