Culpepper Barn has become a familiar venue for us. It’s an equestrian horse barn in the heart of Pungo, Virginia that blends timeless tradition with a down to earth relaxed atmosphere. This vibe brings all the DIY brides our way. We have transformed this space in countless ways, and each time we are amazed at the endless ways this venue accommodates the vision of our brides.

Our spunky couple, Sarah & Todd got married in the perfect spot, under the age old tree with branches that spread generously to provide shade for everyone. Their unplugged ceremony was led by Sarah’s brother & live music by a violinist.

The special touch of having an unplugged ceremony is something we envy. All the focus is on the Mr. & Mrs. to be. Everyone witnesses the details of their pledge and proclamation of love for each other. The memories can be enjoyed and recalled for years to come.

The aisle was lined with mason jars stuffed with sunflowers and pops of radiant color. Sarah loves sunflowers and her vision truly came to life with the gorgeous floral arrangements.

As the couple exited their ceremony those in attendance blew bubbles behind them. It would not be an exaggeration to say that each guest’s face reflected love and beautiful smiles.

The ceremony flowed into cocktail hour offering an open bar and frozen margaritas. There were fun games set up outside as well as a German food truck near by with amazing food. The guests mingled and filled the hall with laughter and memories of how they met the bride and/or groom.

Moving into the reception the centerpieces held more sunflowers and the cutest personalize M&M dispensers with Sarah & Todd’s initials. At each table setting every guest found their name handwritten on a small piece of wood. So much love and time was put into making this day perfect.

The couple danced the night away and a smile never left their faces. The dance floor was lined with lights and made for a special atmosphere adding that little touch of something special.

Throughout the entire reception the guests filled the dance floor well, except for dinner. Who doesn’t love to eat?

A four tier wedding cake decorated with sunflowers & red carnations was cut with the same sword that Sarah’s parents cut their wedding cake with! The new couple played nice and opted not to cover each other in cake.

The night progressed beautifully to their grand exit with sparklers and lots of kisses. It was the perfect day and we are beyond grateful to be an integral part of making those dreams come true.

It takes a team to define what makes each couple special and we thank you for allowing our team to highlight the details that will create life long memories.
