This year has been one for the books. Covid has pushed a lot of couples out of their comfort zones, but the end results have been breathtaking. We decided to recap some of our favorite trends that have been happening this wedding season. We still have more scheduled weddings before we wrap up the year, so we will come back and add more!!
Non-traditional flowers – We love traditional flowers, but have seen a lot of couples lean towards succulents, dried lavender, wildflowers, and air plants to achieve their unique vibe with bouquets, centerpieces, and party favors! Different styles of flowers are such a nice accent to a simpler styled wedding.
Eco friendly/sustainable weddings – The community is much more aware of what our actions are doing to the environment. This year in particular we have seen usage of recycled decor, unique thrift finds, & supporting local vendors. The idea of sustainable living has really navigated into the wedding industry world!
Wedding Parties – Many are fans of wedding parties; however, when you have a lot of important people in your life choosing just a couple to stand by your side can be really hard! Our advice is to not knock the idea of not having a wedding party at all. Instead, incorporate your special friends and family in other ways throughout the day.
Interactive Cocktail Hour – Cocktail hour is reserved for all the guests to mingle, have drink, & catch up with old friends while the newlyweds are taking their family pictures and portraits. What a fun idea to make cocktail hour into something so much more – wine tasting, fun games, or even having an artist present for live art! There are so many great ideas, don’t be afraid to dive into your creative side. We promise your guests will love it!
Officiant – Every wedding is unique, but having someone special officiate your wedding brings it all together for your ceremony. Instead of hiring an officiant that may not know you and your honey on a personal level, you can have someone close to you get ordained and make your big day a little more special <3
Micro Weddings – We all know the effects that Covid-19 has had on our world this year. Many weddings have been rescheduled or even canceled because of the uncertainty that the future holds with the virus. With that being said, micro weddings have become a lot more common. We are confident that your day can still be just as beautiful, even if you have to cut your guest count down. It will also create room in your budget, which is always a plus!!
Over at TSE we work diligently to make sure your day is just as you imagined, no matter what trends or vibe you envision. We LOVE that all our couples are unique & special in their own ways.
