When a bride puts all her trust in us to plan her entire day, it’s the greatest feeling when the big day arrives and everything goes PERFECTLY.

Our bride Andrea was a close friend in 7th grade and as life does, it pulled us in different directions and we lost touch over time. So when she came back in contact and asked us to plan her big day we were absolutely delighted! We did our own little walk down memory lane, letting our shared memories overlap the new ones she was ready to create.

We started from the very beginning with Andrea & David which allowed us to create a wedding that reflected their taste and style while highlighting what makes them unique. Once Andrea gave us her official yes to have her big day at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, we excitedly locked down the venue and checked it off our list. With that major decision complete everything else fell into place.

During the event planning stage we were constantly adjusting the dates and times because this couple was living in two different states, with several hundred miles separating them. With Andrea, a new nursing graduate living local and David, a youth pastor in Florida we positioned ourself to be flexible in order for them to mutually plan the day of their dreams.

The bridal party had an early start to their morning. At 7am they were sitting in makeup chairs enjoying the process of being pampered. Once makeup was complete they transferred over to the garden to finish up their glam. The bridal suite echoed with laughter because of flash backs that brought Andrea to this day and tears flowed freely throughout the morning.

When David arrived he was escorted to the bride where she waited for him standing behind a stone wall. They shared an intimate prayer and exchanged their love and devotion for each other. Their spoken words hung in the air with promise and purpose. Posted below is captured pictures of this particular moment.

As everyone lined up for the ceremony, David seemed to hold his breath. As his beautiful bride came up over the steep stairs he saw that each one of her footsteps was leading her to stand by his side- for a lifetime.

The final touch of perfection for a garden wedding was the variety of pink colored rose petals scattered down the aisle. Andrea’s wedding dress flattered her feminine waistline. Her train, long and dramatic left us with the vision of a princess.

Their ceremony was warm and intimate. Speaking in Hebrew, Andrea’s grandfather spoke a blessing over the couple. Everyone worshiped with songs of praise and one of the most precious acts of service was demonstrated with the sacrificial act of washing each others feet. This symbolized their heart to serve each other as well as reflect the heart of Christ by acknowledging the example He gave of laying down His life for His bride.

Refreshment hour turned into the reception and that’s when the party really got started. Let me tell ya, this bride was not scared to get down on the dance floor, dress bustled or not! The entire night was so fun! Even the speeches had humor throughout the sentiment.

Their cake cutting was one you had to be there to appreciate. Their cheerful personalities shined through when they smashed the cake on each other.

What’s a fun couple to do for their grand exit? Glow sticks of course! True to their spirit of fun and celebration, the bride and groom didn’t want their party to stop. They returned to the reception and danced a couple more songs together before making their final exit.

Andrea & David are free spirited, big hearted, Jesus loving people! Being in their presence makes you feel comforted, like you’re wrapped up in a huge hug.

It was such a joy planning their special day!

Fast forward a few weeks and we’re excited to share that David and Andrea have moved to Tennessee. He accepted a job as a youth pastor and Andrea landed her dream nursing job. They made the big move right after their honeymoon.

They go where the Lord leads and it’s amazing to watch their journey unfold together.
